American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Oncology RN with a current Colorado RN license and a minimum of 2 years of Radiation Oncology nursing experience for a 13-week travel contract at an outpatient oncology clinic.

Details

• Outpatient Radiation Oncology clinic setting
• Schedule is four 10-hour shifts per weekday (4x10s)
• Collaborative role within a multidisciplinary Radiation Oncology team
• Caseload includes patients across varying age groups, human development stages, and cultural backgrounds
• Involves coordination with other hospitals, departments, physician groups, and community support services

Requirements

• Current, active Colorado RN license in good standing (compact license may be accepted; Nursys verification required — license required if applicable)
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience specifically in Radiation Oncology (Medical Oncology experience does not qualify)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced clinic environment
• Highly organized with flexibility to coordinate oncology patient care across interdisciplinary staff
• Knowledge of chronic illness, comorbidity management, and current evidence-based oncology practice
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Proof of flu vaccination required (no exemptions)

Additional Information

• Assess patients and provide nursing interventions for issues related to disease process, treatment course, and follow-up care
• Provide patient and family education, counseling, and psychosocial support related to cancer diagnosis and treatment
• Assist the Radiation Oncologist in patient evaluation and examination
• Coordinate referrals for alternative resources including rehabilitation, hospice, nutritional services, and nursing home care
• Serve as liaison between Radiation Oncology and other departments, physician offices, and community support groups
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates
• Colorado CAPS (background check) is required and may take up to two weeks to obtain; candidates should apply promptly
