American Traveler is hiring an LPN with cardiovascular surgery and clinic experience for a 13-week Heart and Vascular Institute assignment in Rapid City, SD.

Details

• Located in a hospital-based Heart and Vascular Institute clinic setting
• Patient population includes General Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and Vascular Surgery cases
• Caseload of up to 22 patients per day
• Scheduled for 8-hour day shifts with no weekend rotation and no on-call requirement
• May float within the Cardiology clinic and provide outreach coverage for HVI providers as needed
• Uses Epic EMR (required)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current LPN license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of clinic experience required
• Cardiovascular surgery experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Completion of a board of nursing-approved nursing education program
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• 2 professional references dated within the past year required for consideration
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered provided they have clinic experience
• Former permanent staff must wait a full year before returning to this facility as a traveler
• Orientation includes facility-level onboarding per protocol plus 3–4 days of side-by-side unit training
• Team support includes an EKG tech, 3 Clinical Assistants (1 per 10 rooms), a Lead RN, and a Nursing Manager (RN)
• Coverage of 2 out of 4 holidays is required; the day after Thanksgiving is considered a holiday
• Any full week of requested time off requires a contract extension to maintain the 13-week total
• Navy blue scrubs required
