Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU Float position requiring a MA RN license in-hand, at least 2 years of critical care experience, and a willingness to float to PCU as needed.

Details

• 20-bed ICU unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Ventilator management, ICP monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring are performed in this unit
• Floating to PCU is required as needed
• Meditech Expanse is the EMR used; prior experience is strongly preferred
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Active MA RN license must be in-hand prior to consideration; the facility will not pend licensure
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of current critical care experience required
• Proficiency with ventilators, ICP monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring required
• Willingness to float to PCU is required
• BSN preferred
• TNCC preferred
• Must have a personal vehicle — this is a firm requirement
• 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years of employment required for consideration
• Critical Care skills checklist current within 1 year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Personal scrubs of any color are acceptable
• RTO is limited to no more than 5 days and all scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application — requests made at or after offer may result in a rescinded offer
