Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at an acute care hospital, requiring a valid MO or compact RN license and a minimum of 1 year of experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with 233 staffed beds
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with the option to float to another telemetry unit based on facility needs
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement: Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on existing rotation
• Clerical support available on day shift only
• No on-call requirements
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact RN license valid in Missouri required at time of consideration; IL candidates may be considered with a pending IL license
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Travelers may work at this facility (part of the BJC health system) for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• 13-week contract minimum; candidates interested in a longer assignment are encouraged to note that preference
