American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Postpartum/Mother Baby position in Washington, DC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of hospital experience and an active DC RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based postpartum/mother baby unit setting
• Patient population includes postpartum vaginal delivery, C-section, and GYN surgery patients
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in Washington, DC (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• CPI certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a US hospital postpartum/mother baby setting required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• US Social Security Number required
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Postpartum/mother baby experience is required — this is not an L&D position
• Provides safe, competent, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy
• Fulfills patient, family, and community needs by performing patient care functions within the scope of current licensure and certification
• Demonstrates service excellence standards at all times
• Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler
