American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Outpatient Breast Surgery/Oncology Clinic position requiring Epic experience and at least 1 year of outpatient or oncology nursing experience, with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule and no weekends or holidays.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting supporting a breast surgery/oncology practice
• Primarily based at the Edmonds clinic, with occasional floating to First Hill and Issaquah clinics (rare)
• Patient population includes high-risk cancer patients and individuals genetically predisposed to breast cancer
• RN will work independently alongside one surgeon, with support available from RNs at the other two clinic locations
• Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• ONC (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Outpatient or ambulatory clinic experience required
• Oncology experience (inpatient or outpatient) required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include telephone triage, new patient intake calls, surgical teaching, drain care, and coordination of care
• Initial training during the first week will take place at the First Hill clinic location
• All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff of any Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler; former permanent staff of other Providence (non-Swedish) facilities are eligible after a 3-month separation
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Minimal RTO is expected; requests should be disclosed upfront, as post-offer RTO requests may be denied
