American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Postpartum/Mother Baby position at an academic medical center in Washington, DC, requiring at least 2 years of postpartum or mother baby experience and an active DC RN license.

Details

• Postpartum/Mother Baby unit in an academic hospital setting
• Patient population includes postpartum vaginal delivery, C-section recovery, and GYN surgery patients
• Schedule is three 12-hour day shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• CPI certification required for this position
• Minimum 2 years of postpartum/mother baby experience in a US hospital required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• US Social Security Number required
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides safe, competent, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy
• Supports and demonstrates Service Excellence standards and professional leadership within the healthcare team
• Postpartum and mother baby experience is required — this is not an L&D position
• Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Holidays may require coverage depending on assignment schedule
