American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cath Lab position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active GA or compact RN license, with a rotating call schedule and day shift hours.

Details

• Cath Lab unit in a hospital setting
• Rotating schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts (7:00–17:30) for 6 weeks, followed by 1 week of 5x8-hour day shifts (8:00–16:30), then back to 4x10s — resulting in a 4-day stretch off every 6 weeks
• Call required: approximately 12–14 days per 6-week period, including 1–2 weekends per 6-week period
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility to fulfill call obligations
• Weekends included in call rotation
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
• All listed certifications must be current and copies provided for consideration
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for a minimum of 1 full year to be eligible to return as a traveler
• No scheduling requests or shift changes are permitted — the posted schedule is firm
• RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• No holiday RTO may be requested if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period — travelers are expected to work those holidays
• If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of them and may request one holiday off for review
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Candidates must be fully compliant with all onboarding requirements prior to the start date
