American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medicine/Nephrology unit position requiring Med/Surg and Stepdown experience, with charge nurse experience strongly preferred.

Details

• Position is located in an inpatient Medicine/Nephrology unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• Med/Surg and Stepdown experience required for this role
• Charge nurse experience is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with central line care and management, Foley care and management, and end-of-life care is expected
• Knowledge of dialysis site care is required, including understanding that HD catheters should not be used and fistulas should not be accessed for blood draws
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA-issued certifications only
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Med/Surg and Stepdown experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
• Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating discharge planning
• Delegates tasks to support staff and collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may reapply after a 6-month separation period following a maximum of 26 weeks (one extension) of total engagement
