American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring at least 1 year of experience, active RN licensure, and AHA-issued certifications for a night shift contract in Oklahoma City, OK.

Details

• Pediatric ICU (PICU) setting within an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule: 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• CVICU and NICU experience preferred
• Level 1 trauma experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications, both issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Level 1 experience required
• Proficiency in professional nursing practices, techniques, and procedures
• Basic computer skills required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Full DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to pediatric ICU patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Responsibilities include monitoring physiological data, administering medications, initiating and regulating IV infusions and blood products, and assisting physicians with examinations and minor procedures
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders
• Communicates care plans and hospital procedures with patients and families, including at discharge
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
• Previous travelers or workers who have completed a 26-week assignment (including one extension) must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract at this facility
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon acceptance of an offer — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
