Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care facility in Missouri, requiring general surgery experience and call availability within 30 minutes of the hospital.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with a Level 3 Trauma designation
• Operating Room unit with 7 OR suites, typically running 4-5 rooms simultaneously
• Surgical specialties covered include general surgery, orthopedics, urology, plastics, podiatry, ENT, ophthalmology, and OB/GYN
• Facility performs approximately 5,000 procedures per year
• Day shift, 10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday (4x10s) with one random day off per week
• On-call required approximately 4 times per month with possible weekend call
• Charting system: MEDITECH 6.15

Requirements

• Active Missouri RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• General surgery OR experience required
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility to meet call response requirements
• BSN not required

Additional Information

• Candidate must be available for on-call shifts approximately 4 times per month, including possible weekends
• A 6th OR bay is scheduled to open during the assignment period
