American Traveler is hiring an LVN/LPN for a Behavioral Health unit requiring a CA LVN license, CPI/ProAct/PMAB certification, and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Inpatient behavioral health unit setting
• Adult patient population including diagnoses such as ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Eating Disorders, PTSD, Anxiety Disorder, Depression, Major Depressive Disorder, Psychotic Disorder, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder
• Adult medical complexities include Substance Abuse Disorder, Alcohol or Opiate Withdrawal, Hypertension, Diabetes, high fall-risk geriatric patients, patients in pain, and occasional wound care
• Utilizes ObservSmart and electronic patient rounding tools, including Rover for capturing photos, entering vital signs, and tracking food intake
• Variable 8-hour shifts covering days (0700–1530), evenings (1500–2330), and nights (2300–0730)
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Current CA LVN license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of LVN/LPN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current CPI, ProAct, or PMAB certification required
• Recent inpatient psychiatric experience preferred
• Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates

Additional Information

• Orientation is held prior to the first scheduled shift
• No RTO will be approved for this assignment, with the exception of one holiday
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Availability for lab work within 3–5 days of contract signing is required
