American Traveler is hiring an LVN/LPN with a CA license and behavioral health experience for a 13-week inpatient psychiatric assignment with variable shift coverage.

Details

• Inpatient behavioral health/psychiatric unit
• Adult patient population including diagnoses such as ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Eating Disorders, PTSD, Anxiety Disorder, Depression, Major Depressive Disorder, Psychotic Disorder, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder
• Also serves adults with Substance Abuse Disorder, Alcohol or Opiate Withdrawal, Hypertension, Diabetes, high fall risk geriatric patients, patients in pain, and periodic wound care needs
• Uses ObservSmart and Rover devices for electronic patient rounding, vital signs, and food intake documentation
• Variable 8-hour shifts covering days (0700–1530), evenings (1500–2330), and nights (2300–0730)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current CA LVN license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of LVN/LPN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• CPI, ProAct, or PMAB certification required
• Recent inpatient psychiatric experience preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include electronic patient rounding and documentation of vital signs and food intake using Rover and ObservSmart
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning
• No RTO will be approved for this assignment; only 1 holiday request may be considered
• Orientation is held prior to the first scheduled shift
