Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) unit position requiring at least 1 year of IMC experience, a GA or compact RN license, and night shift availability every other weekend.

Details

• Position is in the Intermediate Care (IMC) unit of an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within the facility to other acute care units within scope of practice as needed
• Local candidates are accepted for this position

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of IMC experience required
• Current copies of all required certifications must be provided for consideration
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler
• No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted — the posted shift is firm
• Travel pairs will not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
• RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must work 2 of them and may request 1 holiday off
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time
