American Traveler is hiring an experienced LDRP RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a short-term acute care, Level III trauma, teaching hospital in Oregon, requiring at least 2 years of LDRP experience and active OR licensure.

Details

• Work setting is a short-term acute care, Level III trauma center and teaching hospital with 167 staffed beds
• Unit cares for low-to-moderate risk laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients and their newborns
• Unit includes 2 triage rooms where nurses triage their own patients and perform MSEs
• Nurses circulate and recover their own C-sections from the OR suite and private rooms
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Contract lengths of 16, 18, or 20 weeks are available (13-week minimum)
• Weekend work is required
• Floating within the hospital is required; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
• No floating to sister hospitals
• No on-call requirements
• Charting is done in Epic
• Scrubs are provided for OR; no printed scrubs allowed
• Free parking on-site

Requirements

• Active Oregon (OR) RN license required; pending license accepted if application has been submitted and received by the licensing board
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
• Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience required
• Charge RN experience preferred but not required
• Experience in triage, newborn transition/baby nursing, IV starts, and C-section circulation required
• Must be comfortable initiating NRP for low-to-moderate risk deliveries, including starting CPAP and PPV independently until additional help arrives
• Epic EMR experience required
• COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions
• Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months are required (Charge RN references are not acceptable)

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate with no radius restriction
• Candidates who were previously employed at or on assignment with this health system must have been gone for at least 6 months to be eligible to return as a traveler; a reference from the supervising manager at that facility will also be required
• RTO must be disclosed upfront and is limited to 1 week maximum
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
