American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, prior travel experience, and night shift availability.

Details

• Work in the Medical ICU (MICU) of an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
• ICU patient population with a focus on neurological and ventilator-dependent patients
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (standard or compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency in neuro nursing and comfort with ventilator management required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care and positive outcomes
• Perform discharge planning and patient/family education on illness management and injury prevention
• Navy scrubs required
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
• RTO is limited to no more than 3 days and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
