American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Psychiatric for a 13-week night shift contract at a brand-new acute inpatient behavioral health facility in Danville, PA, requiring at least 1 year of recent psych/behavioral health experience and an active PA RN license.

Details

• Acute inpatient psychiatric hospital setting that opened in August 2025
• 96-bed facility with plans to expand to 120 beds, including an adolescent unit
• Four housing units, each with 24 beds, including one unit dedicated to children and adolescents
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7:30a, 12-hour shifts
• Weekends and holidays required as assigned
• Uses Epic EMR
• Rural location in Danville, PA with limited ridesharing options

Requirements

• Active PA RN license (or compact equivalent) required
• Minimum 1 year of recent behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• Handle with Care or equivalent Psych certification (can be obtained on-site if not already held)

• Brand-new facility operating on the Geisinger platform under Acadia Healthcare — candidates should expect some growing pains typical of a newly opened facility
• Candidates living within 30 miles of the facility are subject to local pay rates; those living beyond 30 miles qualify for travel pay rates
