American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Clinical Supervisor for a Labor & Delivery unit, requiring supervisor experience, L&D background, and a rotating AM/PM call schedule.

• Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit in a hospital setting
• Clinical Supervisor role with shift-to-shift oversight responsibilities
• Rotating AM/PM call required
• Schedule is three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Cerner EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required (no pending licenses)
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS (AHA-issued only), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring
• CPI certification mandated for this position
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience in a US hospital required
• Prior clinical supervisor experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides shift-to-shift oversight of clinical practice, staffing, patient flow, safety, service, and resource utilization for daily operations
• Delivers direct patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served
• Leads and participates in departmental process improvement initiatives
• Facilitates employee engagement activities including shared governance participation
• Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but supervisor experience is required
