American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (Family Birthplace) position requiring a MD or Compact RN license, with night shift scheduling and first-time travelers welcome.

Details

• LDRP unit within a hospital setting, featuring a Special Care Nursery (Level II NICU)
• Unit includes 14 LDRP rooms, 9 overflow beds, 2 triage beds, 2 antenatal testing bays, 2 ORs, 2 PACU bays, and a 9-bed Special Care Nursery
• Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients with diagnoses including pre-eclampsia, high-risk pregnancies, inductions, and C-sections
• Patient ratios vary by care stage: Triage (1:4), Early labor/induction (1:2), Active labor (1:1), C-section delivery (1:1), and Postpartum (1:4)
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Floating may be required within the specialty and to sister units as needed
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license for the state of Maryland (MD) or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, STABLE, FHM, and AWHONN (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced)
• Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required
