American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU travel position requiring 2-3 years of ICU experience and an active NH or compact RN license, with 12-hour night shifts and every-other-weekend requirements.

Details

• Hospital ICU setting with a mixed patient population requiring advanced critical care
• 12-hour night shifts, weekdays with every other weekend required
• 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Floating required to the ED (non-ICU hold patients), stepdown, and med-surg units with a modified assignment
• Equipment used includes balloon pumps, CRRT, Impella, ICP monitoring, Arctic Sun/TTM management, Alaris pumps, and rapid infusers
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required — temporary licenses not accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Preferred certifications: TNCC, PALS, CCRN
• 2-3 years of ICU experience required; candidates closer to 2 years should demonstrate strong independent practice, clinical versatility, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• CVICU experience is a plus
• 2 recent professional references from a Charge RN or Manager in the specialty (no peer or coworker references)
• Valid driver's license with address matching application demographics

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Former permanent staff may be considered after a minimum 12-month break in service
• Weekly orientation provided
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be subject to a local pay rate
• Any requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration
• 3 references total will be required upon commitment (2 from leadership)
