Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU Float position requiring ACLS and BLS certifications, with prior travel experience strongly preferred, working night shifts on an alternating 36/48-hour weekly schedule.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with float responsibilities to overflow units and the ED (for holds)
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, alternating between 3x12-hour and 4x12-hour weeks (36/48-hour schedule)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Float responsibilities include coverage of PCU overflow and ED holds
• Must be willing and agreeable to the alternating 36/48-hour weekly schedule
• Facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana — a positive result is grounds for immediate cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid any substances that could produce a positive result, including CBD products, prior to and upon arrival
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
