American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy (Digestive Health) position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Outpatient Digestive Health Center setting focused on GI/endoscopy procedures
• Schedule consists of four 9-hour shifts per week with varying start times, totaling 36 hours per week
• Day shift position with one possible weekend shift every 6 weeks
• No holiday shifts required
• Floating required between two Digestive Health locations (Carle DHI and Carle Champaign Endoscopy Center on Mattis)
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing required; temporary licenses accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, completing assessments, reviewing health history, starting IVs, and providing patient education
• Monitors and sedates patients during procedures and assists the CRNA during cases requiring anesthesia involvement
• Provides care for patients in both Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at Carle Health for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any Carle Health location
