American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a travel assignment requiring robotics, neuro, plastics, and ortho surgery experience with rotating call and weekend requirements.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room (OR) of an acute care hospital setting
• Surgical specialties include robotics, neuro, plastics, and ortho; cardiovascular experience is a plus
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Rotating on-call required on weekends, plus one to three late days per schedule
• Weekend work required
• Holiday coverage required
• May float to other surgical specialties as needed

Requirements

• Active Louisiana (LA) or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Hands-on experience with robotics, neuro, plastics, and orthopedic surgery required
• Cardiovascular surgery experience preferred
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Any employment gaps of more than 30 days must be documented and explained

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to travel with this health system
• RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract; the facility is strict about excessive RTO requests
