American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric Hospice Home Health position requiring at least 1 year of RN experience and MOAB certification, with driving up to 60 miles to patient appointments.

• Hospice Home Health setting — RN will drive up to a 60-mile radius to patient appointments
• Pediatric hospice unit serving patients with cancer, terminal diseases, and embryonic diagnoses or anomalies
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Day shift, 5x9.5-hour shifts (8:00–17:00)
• No floating required
• On-call rotation required every 2–3 weeks depending on staffing; on-call hours are 17:00–08:00 on weekdays and 24/7 on weekends and holidays during assigned on-call weeks
• Charting system: Cerner
• No weekend requirements
• Black scrubs required
• Free parking available

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
• MOAB certification required; candidates without current MOAB certification will complete a 4-hour de-escalation course during the first week and must pass to continue the contract
• BLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Pediatric nursing experience in any setting qualifies; hospice experience is not required
• COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with a completed exemption form signed by a provider
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Must have reliable transportation for driving up to 60 miles to patient appointments

• Provides hospice care to pediatric and adult patients in a home health model, traveling up to 60 miles to appointments
• The hospice-specific aspects of care can be trained on the job — basic pediatric experience in any clinical setting is sufficient
• On-call responsibilities will not begin until the traveler is comfortable performing patient visits
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO requests exceeding 7 days require approval
• New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks in length
• Travelers who have worked 4 consecutive assignments or reached the 1-year mark at this facility are required to take a 6-month break before returning
• Candidates must provide 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years
• A full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
