Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a high-acuity Emergency Department float pool position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of ED experience in a comparable facility and certifications including TNCC.

Details

• High-volume, inner-city Level 1 trauma center ED with complex and diverse patient cases
• Float pool assignment primarily supporting the ED to care for boarder patients, which may include med/surg, stepdown, and ICU-level patients
• May be required to float to acute care units as needed
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license — GA or compact license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience in a similarly sized Level 1 trauma facility
• Demonstrated experience managing critical, fast-paced, high-volume trauma environments with diverse and severe cases
• ED-specific skills checklist required for consideration
• Resume with no unexplained employment gaps required for consideration

• Provides nursing care to boarder patients across multiple acuity levels within the ED float pool
