American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Des Moines, IA, requiring at least 24 months of Cath Lab experience and structural heart skills.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) setting in Des Moines, IA
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday with a rotating day off (blocked scheduling not available)
• On-call requirements: 1 night per week and every 3rd weekend (Friday 7:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM)
• Call-back shifts are assigned on a rare, as-needed basis
• Floating required across all Des Moines campuses to like units (campuses are minutes apart)
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
• Current ACLS certification from AHA or ARC required
• Minimum 24 months of current Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) experience required
• Structural heart experience required
• Strong and experienced circulator skills required
• EP (Electrophysiology) experience highly preferred
• Scrubber experience highly preferred
• Travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Supervisory performance evaluation or professional reference from within the past 24 months preferred for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must be willing to precept staff as needed
• Holiday rotation required — candidates must be available to work 1–2 of the 3 summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day
• Candidates who have been permanently or PRN employed by this health system within the past 12 months are not eligible for this position
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to an adjusted pay rate
