Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Inpatient Rehab RN for a 13-week travel contract in Northport, AL, requiring an active AL or compact RN license and at least 2 years of nursing experience with 1 year in rehab.

Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes stroke, hip fracture, and pulmonary patients working toward improved functional ability and independence
• Patients receive 24-hour medical monitoring with daily provider rounding by physiatrists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants
• Advanced therapy equipment on unit includes body weight support systems, treadmills, a Dynavision machine, and a simulation vehicle
• EMR system is Meditech (experience not required)
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Required to float to other units and hospitals
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active AL state or compact RN license required — no pending or temporary licenses accepted
• No hits (past or current) on license record allowed
• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required
• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) required at minimum
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in inpatient rehab
• NURSYS license verification required
• Current driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references from within the last year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide medical and nursing care to rehab patients as part of a multidisciplinary team including physiatrists, NPs/PAs, and rehab therapists
• Solid navy scrubs required
• No pre-start HealthStream modules required — competency-based modules will be completed during virtual orientation
