American Traveler is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for a Long-Term Care position in Hawaii, requiring at least 6 months of LTC experience and an active HI RN license.

Details

• Long-term care (LTC) facility setting
• Day shift: 6:45am–3:15pm, Evening shift: 3:00pm–11:30pm, Night shift: 11:15pm–7:15am
• 6-week contract
• Caseload of patients requiring direct personal care services

Requirements

• Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required
• Minimum 6 months of work experience in a LTC facility
• BLS certification for Healthcare Workers required (must be obtained within 6 months of employment)
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing skills including vital signs, output measurement, and recognition of abnormal signs and symptoms
• Knowledge of infection control, universal precautions, body mechanics, and patient rights
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as eating/feeding, bathing, and dressing
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must be physically able to perform the essential duties of the position

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing direct personal care to a caseload of patients and participating in treatment team activities
• Knowledge of multiple and differing cultures is desirable
• Strong observation, recall, and documentation skills are highly valued
• Previous work experience in Hawaii is a plus
• Position requires patience, tact, and emotional stability in a demanding care environment
