American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a 13-week travel contract in California, requiring a CA RN license, NRP certification, and a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience.

Details

• Position is in a hospital-based Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active California RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• 2 supervisory references obtained within the past year required for consideration
• Copies of all certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care to neonatal patients in routine and complex situations
• Conducts initial and ongoing patient and family assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, and discharge planning factors
• Develops, implements, and modifies individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
• Coordinates care delivery and serves as a liaison between nursing and medical staff
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the contract
• Previous employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are not mentioned as eligible — 2 years of experience is required
