American Traveler is seeking an experienced Psychiatric RN for an Adult Psych unit position requiring de-escalation skills and a WA or compact RN license, with night shift availability.

Details

• Work in a 30-bed Adult Psych unit within a 226-bed non-profit community hospital
• Patient population includes adults with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, suicidal ideation, dementia with behaviors, and diabetes
• 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation of 2 weekends per month
• Floating may be required to Med/Surg units or to serve as a sitter
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active WA state or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current CPI or MOAB certification required
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience required
• Additional Med/Surg or acute care experience preferred
• Proficiency in psychiatric assessments, de-escalation techniques, and physical restraints required
• Two supervisor-level references required prior to start date (one reference accepted at time of consideration)
