American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool position at a 325-bed acute care hospital in Washington, requiring telemetry experience and a willingness to float between like units.

Details

• 13-week contract at a 325-bed short-term acute care hospital in Washington state
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on both days and nights
• Telemetry monitoring is a core component of patient care
• Floating between like units within skill set is required and expected throughout the assignment
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling is not available at this time
• Charting is performed in Epic (required)

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or compact RN license recognized in Washington required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• BLS required; ACLS, MAB, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility to be eligible for a travel contract
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• RTO is flexible with no hard restrictions, though keeping requests under 7 days is preferred
• Pending WA license candidates may be considered, though quick starts are preferred
• Professional license must be active at time of consideration
