American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Infusion position at an ambulatory infusion center in Burlington, MA, requiring 2 years of chemotherapy administration experience and an ONS chemo provider card.

Details

• 25-chair ambulatory infusion center setting located within a hospital campus in Burlington, MA
• Adult patient population with hematologic, oncologic, and medical diagnoses requiring outpatient infusion services
• Unit sees approximately 60–110 patients per day; actual volume varies based on treatment length
• Each nurse is assigned 2–3 infusion chairs per shift
• 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week
• Every 3rd Saturday is required
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Floating to the Peabody location is possible but rare; float order is determined by date of last float
• APP coverage is provided by the attached hem/onc clinic

Requirements

• Active MA RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• ONS chemotherapy provider card required
• Minimum 2 years of chemotherapy administration experience required
• Experience accessing and deaccessing implanted vascular access devices (IVADs)
• Experience with PICC lines and starting peripheral IVs
• Experience with Alaris infusion pumps
• Epic EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include chemotherapy administration, medical infusion administration, blood transfusions, phlebotomy, peripheral IV starts, IVAD access/deaccess, and use of Alaris and CADD infusion pumps
• Orientation is 1 week; facility-required learning modules and competencies will be assigned prior to arrival
• COVID vaccine and booster and flu vaccine are required; medical exemptions are accepted
• Flu vaccine documentation will be required during flu season
• Previous employees (travel, permanent, or per diem) of any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility must have a minimum 6-month break before being considered
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO requests not submitted at the time of consideration will not be approved
• The infusion room observes closures on select holidays and dates; holiday coverage expectations should be discussed during the hiring process
