American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Services CVOR Tech for a cardiovascular OR travel position requiring a minimum of 18 months of experience, Level 1 Trauma Center background, and proficiency in complex cardiac and vascular procedures.

• Position is based in a Level 1 Trauma Center hospital CVOR setting
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Call requirement of 90–120 hours per 6-week schedule
• 13-week contract
• Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility may be required
• Cerner EMR — experience required
• Handles a wide range of complex cardiovascular and vascular cases including: CABG, TAVR, TEVAR/EVAR, mitral and aortic valve replacement, VAD, heart and lung transplant, AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, robotic and laparoscopic cardiac surgery, atrial septal defect repair, aortic dissection, atherectomy, pericardial window, cardiomyoplasty, and femoral popliteal bypass graft
• Responsibilities include receiving pump lines from perfusion and preparing them for cannulation

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS (AHA or RQI accepted) and NBSTSA certification required
• Minimum 18 months to 2 years of CVOR scrub tech experience required
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• Experience with vascular and thoracic surgery cases required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Graduation from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE required

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply provided they have Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• Local candidates are accepted for this Periop/Surgical Services position
• Candidates must be available for an interview with 2–3 days of availability provided upfront
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be approved per contract
• Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible to apply as a traveler
• Indiana RN license holders working in Periop/OR roles (including CVOR) are exempt from the general IU Health IN RN restriction and are eligible for this position
