American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg - Neuro night shift position in Albany, NY, requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent neuro/med-surg experience and mandatory Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Neurosciences/EMU unit within a large academic medical center setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• No blocked scheduling

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or Neuro RN experience required
• Candidates with 1 year of experience at a 600+ bed academic hospital may be considered but must achieve a passing competency test score
• Epic EMR experience required — candidates without Epic experience will not be considered
• Current BLS and all certifications must be issued by AHA or RQI
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• US Social Security Number required — Canadian SINs are not accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal or religious declinations will not be accepted

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to neurological and med/surg patients in a Neurosciences/EMU unit
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius outside of the ineligible counties may be considered
• More than 3 call-outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this position
