Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel LPN with at least 2 years of experience for a Post Acute LTC/SNF day shift position in Maine, working across specialized long-term care and transitional rehabilitation units.

Details

• Post acute long-term care (LTC) and skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting
• Unit options include a 31-bed Alzheimer's/dementia specialized unit (3 East), a 42-bed transitional rehabilitation unit serving patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, and stroke, and a 42-bed general long-term care unit (3 West)
• Rehabilitation unit nursing services include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment
• May be required to float to other units as needed

Requirements

• Valid Maine or compact LPN license required at start of assignment — license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of LPN or RN experience required
• Associate's degree in Nursing or graduation from a Maine State Board-approved LPN program required
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Strong teamwork, communication, and flexibility skills required
• Medical terminology preferred

• Partners with residents and care providers to deliver direct and indirect care in a home-like therapeutic environment
• Care for Alzheimer's/dementia residents requires proficiency in both verbal and non-verbal communication techniques and an understanding of behavior as a form of communication
• Flexibility required to support 24/7 coverage across units
