Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU (WICU) position at a major academic medical center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of current Surgical ICU experience and a MD or compact RN license.

Details

• 20-bed adult Surgical ICU within the Department of Surgery at a large academic medical center (500+ bed facility)
• Diverse patient population including Trauma, GI Surgery, Ortho/Neuro Spine, Transplant, Vascular, Surgical ENT, and General Surgery cases
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 13-week contract
• Floating required to areas of like skill set as needed
• Epic EMR (preferred, not required)

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Critical Care Certification (e.g., CCRN) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of current, strong Surgical ICU experience required
• Experience at a comparable facility size (500+ bed count) required
• At least 2 prior travel assignments preferred
• Trauma course experience preferred
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
• Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
• Epic EMR experience is preferred but not required
