American Traveler is seeking an experienced EP Lab RN with EP circulating experience and Epic proficiency for a day-shift contract position in a 2-lab electrophysiology setting.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital-based Electrophysiology (EP) Lab with 2 procedure rooms
• Average caseload of 6–7 EP cases per day
• Procedures include ablations, pacemaker and ICD/defibrillator implants, BiV device implants, Watchman procedures, and loop recorder insertions
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills are essential to this role
• Systems used include Epic, Cupid, and MacLab/CardioLab
• Schedule is 10-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• No call or weekend requirements
• Patient population includes adults (18–64) and geriatric patients (65+)

Requirements

• Active RN license — VA state license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• EP Lab experience required — this is an EP RN role, not a Cath Lab RN cross-trained position
• Experience circulating EP procedures (e.g., device implants) required, with some monitoring experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in telemetry, critical care, cardiac cath lab, ER, or OR
• Proof of address required for consideration (acceptable documents: Driver's License, Voter Registration card, Federal Income Tax return, Military Form No. 2058, or W-2 from the U.S. government)
• Supervisory reference required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Scrubbing experience preferred but not required

Additional Information

• Circulate EP procedures including ablations and device implants, and provide comprehensive patient assessment and care coordination throughout the procedure
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• A pass/fail EKG exam is administered on the first day of orientation, with two attempts allowed — a study guide will be provided in advance
