American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a fully remote Telephone Triage Call Center position requiring a CA RN license and at least 2 years of nursing experience.

• Fully remote position supporting a telephone triage call center
• Provides advanced clinical telephone triage support to patients, including assessment, disposition, and follow-up activities
• Assists physician partners with message management and communications within the EMR system
• Collaborates with clinic and hospital-based providers for prescription renewals, referrals, and consultations
• Sedentary role utilizing a headset and chat tools for patient and team communication
• Evening shift: 5x8 hours (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) and Day shift: 5x8 hours (12:00 PM – 8:30 PM)
• Fast-paced environment, with some overnight shifts being quieter
• Uninterrupted availability for the full shift is required — no flexibility during scheduled working hours

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required; UT or compact RN license also required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Strong telephone communication and patient assessment skills
• Proficiency in clinical decision-making, nursing diagnosis, care planning, patient education, and disposition
• High-level customer service skills
• Critical thinking and the ability to apply nursing process protocols in a remote setting
• High-speed internet and a private, dedicated office space required (facility provides all equipment)
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
• Copies of all certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
• Previous employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the contract
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded — 2 years of experience is the primary requirement
