American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring a NY RN license and a minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience, with weekend and night call responsibilities.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital Cath Lab unit
• Day shift hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Weekend and night call requirements, including participation in the STEMI (Emergency On-Call) Team
• Cardiac procedures include left and right heart catheterization, coronary stents, balloon valvuloplasty, pericardiocentesis, structural heart procedures, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), Impella, and EKOS
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab, procedural, or sedation nursing experience

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, monitoring, and intervention during cardiac procedures
• Administer oral and IV medications and manage patients under sedation, monitoring for adverse reactions
• Educate patients and families on surgical site care, medications, lifestyle changes, and postoperative instructions
• Manage documentation including consent forms, charting, lab results, and procedure records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary medical staff as needed
• Two professional references required for consideration
