American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step Down position requiring 2 years of nursing experience, prior travel experience, and flexibility to float across multiple units.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30
• 13-week contract
• Float position covering multiple departments on-site, including the Acuity Adaptable Unit (AAU), Med/Surg, Inpatient Rehab, and ED (boarded patients)
• May be required to float to sister sites within 40 miles
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be AHA-issued)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Documents required for consideration: 2 professional references, copy of Driver's License, copies of all certifications, and license verification/Nursys

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care across a mixed patient population spanning step down, med/surg, inpatient rehab, and ED boarded patients based on greatest unit need
• Floating assignments are based on skill set and facility need
• Local candidates are accepted, but a radius rule applies — candidates living within the facility's radius threshold may be eligible at a reduced pay rate
