American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Coronary Care Unit (CCU) position in Nashville, TN, requiring strong cardiac and critical care experience on a 13-week night shift contract.

Details

• 32-bed Coronary Care Unit (CCU) in an acute care hospital setting in Nashville, TN
• Patient ratio of 2:1
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 3–4 weekend shifts required per 4-week scheduling period
• Floating to other units as needed based on census
• Procedures performed on unit include central line insertion, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, and intubations
• Equipment used includes Hill-Rom beds and Philips telemetry monitors
• Charting and documentation via Meditech
• Unit supports a growing cardiogenic shock program with 12 beds dedicated to cardiogenic shock patients
• Student nurse externs available as techs; unit secretary available Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment)
• Minimum 2 years of recent CCU or critical care RN experience required
• Strong cardiac experience is required
• Experience with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
• Experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT preferred
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Scrub color requirement: galaxy blue, red, or black; scrub jackets or vests only
• Unit is recognized through the Daisy Award and Nurse Practice Council
