Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week travel contract in an Orthopedic/Trauma Unit, working nights with a minimum of one year of nursing experience required.

Details

• Orthopedic/Trauma Unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Patient population includes orthopedic and trauma cases ranging from simple to complex acuity
• Night shift, 12-hour days, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Med/Surg and step-down experience expected for this unit

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or valid multistate compact (eNLC) RN license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — all certifications must be AHA-issued
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Basic computer skills required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, and documenting patient responses to nursing interventions
• Collaborates with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Provides patient and family education regarding care plans and hospital procedures, including discharge planning
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for a new contract (prior contracts are limited to one extension, totaling no more than 26 weeks)
• Compliance requirements are strictly enforced — candidates must be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance of an offer
