American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a Stepdown/Cardiac unit in Lenoir, NC, requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience and prior telemetry experience.

Details

• 4 West Telemetry unit, a stepdown unit with primarily cardiac patients
• Patient population includes post-cardiac catheterization patients and those on medication drips including nitroglycerin (NTG), amiodarone, cardizem, and low-dose dopamine
• Cardiac monitoring and telemetry performed on the unit
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
• Variable weekend requirements based on unit need
• No on-call required

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact license with NC as the issuing or covered state
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Current ACLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Prior telemetry experience required
• Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited nursing program (BSN or MSN preferred)

• Delivers patient care using the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and update patient care plans
• Addresses discharge planning needs for patients with complex care requirements
• Incorporates cultural and ethnic considerations into patient care planning
• Holiday coverage required when aligned with UNC-observed holidays
