American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry/PCU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent telemetry experience and Level 1 Trauma background, with Epic proficiency required.

Details

• PCU/Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule (7p–7:30a), 3x12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Floating to other Telemetry floors required as needed
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (both via AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of recent, consecutive Telemetry experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital
• Level 1 Trauma center experience required
• Nursing degree from an accredited school, or a degree from an institution approved by the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON) combined with 2 years of recent acute care experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proof of vaccination status required — declinations not accepted

Additional Information

• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius of the facility are eligible to apply
• A Basic Arrhythmia/EKG assessment is required as part of the onboarding process — this is a pass/fail exam
• Candidates who do not score 100% on the lethal rhythm section of the initial assessment will be given the opportunity to retake a dysrhythmia exam within 24 hours; passing requires an overall Angoff score of 83% or higher, 100% on the lethal rhythm section, and 83% on all other sections
• Study guides and tips for the arrhythmia assessment are available through the facility's online orientation resources
