Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Medical Surgical ICU position requiring prior travel experience and Epic proficiency, working nights in a Level I Trauma-preferred setting.

Details

• Medical Surgical ICU in an acute care hospital setting
• 12-bed ICU unit
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
• Floating required to units of equal or lesser acuity
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Level I Trauma experience is preferred
• Candidates residing in the following TX counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups will be accepted
• RTO is limited to no more than 3 days auto-approved per contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
