American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Urbana, IL, requiring Epic EMR experience and a minimum of 3 years of ED nursing experience.

Details

• Works in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• Mid shift: 11:00 AM–11:30 PM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 2 on-call shifts required per 6-week schedule period; call shifts are 13 hours with an expectation of being onsite within 1 hour of contact
• All travelers are required to complete a 2-week nights rotation
• Every other weekend shift required
• Holiday coverage on a rotation basis
• No floating requirements
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing required; temporary license accepted
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all AHA) required
• TNCC preferred
• Minimum 3 years of relevant ED nursing experience required
• At least Trauma Level 2 experience required; Trauma Level 1 experience highly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

• Performs patient assessment, develops and modifies care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families
• Responsible for accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
• Promotes patient and staff safety through appropriate nursing interventions and adherence to safety standards
• Communicates and collaborates effectively with staff, visitors, and families to support a positive work environment
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the system
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded; however, the 3-year experience requirement applies
