American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Washington, DC, requiring at least 2 years of ED experience and a DC RN license with certifications including NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, and ACLS.

Details

• Fast-paced Emergency Department setting treating a broad patient population including urgent care, psych, pediatric, and critical care/trauma patients
• Nurses manage critical care skills including medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tube management
• 36 hours per week on 3x12-hour night shifts
• 9-week contract

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Required certifications (AHA-issued only): BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• CPI certification required for this position
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience in a US hospital required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• US Social Security Number required
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Date of birth required for consideration

• Coordinates and delivers care to patients with complex nursing needs, ensuring the highest level of safety and quality while promoting a positive patient experience
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position — local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers are not preferred; prior travel experience is encouraged
