Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week LTC/SNF travel assignment at a geriatric behavioral health facility in South Dakota, requiring BSN and PointClickCare experience.

Details

• Long-term care/skilled nursing facility (LTC/SNF) setting with 55 beds
• Geriatric patient population including dementia, and a behavioral health program serving patients with diagnoses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and paranoia
• Day shift, 12-hour block scheduling (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
• Patient ratio approximately 1:23 during day shift and 1:45 overnight; a med aide is present 6 AM–10 AM
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Holiday coverage required when holidays fall within your contracted schedule
• EMR: PointClickCare (PCC)
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active SD RN license or compact RN license required (must be active and in hand at time of consideration — pending licenses not accepted)
• BSN required
• Current BLS certification required (copy of active certification required; pending certifications not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• LTC experience required; geriatric psych or behavioral health LTC experience strongly preferred
• PointClickCare (PCC) experience preferred
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Valid driver's license required

Additional Information

• Orientation includes facility training, a tour, competency verification, and the opportunity to shadow 1–2 shifts
• Most skilled and clinical charting is completed during the day shift
• Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and are subject to a local pay rate
