Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a fast-paced Emergency Department position requiring MD or compact RN licensure and at least 2 years of ED experience.

Details

• Work in a high-volume, fast-paced general Emergency Department serving a combined adult and pediatric population
• Patient population spans pediatric through geriatric age ranges with a wide variety of complex and multi-diagnosis presentations
• Patient ratio of 1:4, up to 1:5 with lower acuity patients
• Facility is STEMI Certified and Stroke Certified
• Rotating night and evening shifts: nights run 19:00–07:30 and evenings run 15:00–03:30
• Schedule is 3x12 or 4x12 hours per shift accepted
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Floating required within the ED specialty, including up to 4 other ED locations as needed
• No on-call requirement

Requirements

• Active RN license for the state of Maryland (MD) or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• CPI certification required (can be completed on-site during onboarding)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
• Experience with adult and pediatric emergency patient populations required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position, provided they have a strong ED background and skillset
• Any time-off requests must be disclosed at the time of initial consideration
• 13-week contract
