American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric ICU position in Oklahoma City, requiring at least one year of RN experience, active RN licensure, and AHA-issued BLS and PALS certifications.

Details

• Pediatric ICU unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• CVICU and NICU experience is preferred
• Level 1 trauma experience is required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA-issued certifications only
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Full date of birth and full SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient caseload, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, initiating and regulating IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating discharge planning with patients and families
• Delegates tasks to support staff and collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — onboarding requirements including drug screens and background checks must begin immediately upon offer acceptance
• Travelers who have previously worked at this health system may reapply after a 6-month separation period following a maximum of 26 weeks (one extension) of prior service
